A Statistical Observation of Eye Injuries


Abstract
Author¢¥s observation of 1061 injuries of eye at our department for 9 years from May of 1950 to 1958 has been based on the age, sex, eyes, season, month, material involved, visual acquity after truama, occupational difference, affinity of material to either sex, kinds of trauma and its location, motive to receive it, and its sequelae.
It has been shown that man, the young man, is more liable to trauma than woman, more frequent in spring due to active out-door exercise, and visual acquity is affected seriously with trauma and occupational peculiarity is found, the most frequent being resulted from quarreling and the conjunctivae and cornea foreign body being the most prominent symptoms.
